Client Copy Problem

hi guys...

in our bw development system some how the objects are not having the same version as of in Production system...

so finally we decided to copy the objects from production to development, in that way we r thinking to maintain the same versions both in dev and prod...

so pl advise me the procedure to get the same objects in dev as of production...

i got some solution that copy the production client to development with remote client copy...

pl advise... are there any precautions to be taken while doing so... any problems will occur if i do this...

pl confirm me...
