JDI Environment with a Portal and a ERP04 Server

Hello everybody,

we have setup a Test environment which looks like this:

- WAS 6.40 SP9 ABAP+Java with JDI on the same server (ERP 2004)

- WAS 6.40 SP9 Java (Portal). No JDI!

Developing e.g. WebDynpros and deploying it to the ERP04 System with JDI works just fine.

Now im currious about developing Portal applications. Do we have to setup a JDI for the Portal Server as well in order to use the DTR, CBS, etc? Or can we use the JDI on the ERP04 Server somehow?
