webreporting: show reports depending on role

hi all,

we need help in the following scenario:

- we have to integrate around 40 Bex-queries (reports) in one web application. The Requirement is to have a navigation (with links

to each report) on the left of the screen. By klicking on one of these links the selected report is shown in the middle of the screen.

- by building 1 template in WAD and by parametrizing the urls in navigation with QUERY=..& INFOCUBE=.. we realized to change the report (as table-item) in the middle of the template.

the problem now is that not every user should see every navigation-link. The navigation-links are grouped by some names, which have nothing to do with information in BW. These groups must be shown to the user, depending on the users role in BW.

The idea is to put a login page to get to get the user-name before getting on this page. But is there a

way to get the users role from BW, so that we can show or hide these links for example with javascript?

how do we get the information, which roles have access to a query if I know the query-name and the user-name ?

any suggestions are welcome !
