Refresh Issue - EPM Worksheet with Multiple Reports

Former Member

Hi All,

I am working on a report in EPM 10. It is a workbook with multiple sheets and each sheet contains 2 EPM reports. I need to use "EPMDimensionOverride" function in all of these reports. Here is the issue I have been facing:

One of the worksheet, it contains two reports, 000 and 001. When I hit refresh button (refresh worksheet), data is refreshed in both EPM reports within it but first report (000) does not recognize "EPMDimensionOverride" function written for this report (000). It just returns some data based on member(s) selected in context. At the same time, second EPM report (001) in this same worksheet works just fine. It recognizes "EPMDimensionOverride" function written for this report (001) and returns data accordingly.

Now if I select any cell in 000 report area, click "Edit Report" button then click Ok from layout tab without changing anything in layout or anywhere else. Report 000 will be refreshed and this time it will recognize "EPMDimensionOverride" function and will return correct data.

I am not able to figure out why first report is not refreshing with "EPMDimensionOverride" function when I do refresh worksheet. Please advise what might be causing this issue and and how to fix it.

My EPM version is - EPM 10 SP13 patch 4

Thanks,

Neha

Hi Neha,

For a quick (though very dirty) workaround, you can replace the epmdimensionoverride for report 000 with an epmaxisoverride.  The epm add-in struggles with more then one dimension override so this works around it.  Not ideal though.

Hi Neha,

In older release of EPM addin, there was a problem with refreshing a sheet with multiple reports. Please try to upgrade your addin.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris !!

Work around that you provided had resolved my issue. We are also working with SAP to find out why EPMDimensionOverride is not working in this case.

Nagarjuna - There was no error in the formula.

Thanks everyone for your response.

Try copying your reports to a new sheet..it works.

OR

Upgrade EPM 10 SP16 and test again.
