Why is there a need of Business Partner in Collection management?

Hi all,

I was wondering why do we need business partner separately in collection module? In SD, FI/CO etc same customer master is used. However, in case of collection management, we create business partner which is nothing but a copy of customer master. Why can't we just use customer master instead of business partner? Why business partner is required?

Hi Gaurav,

The product works with BP only and SAP S/4 HANA Simple Finance replaces Vendor/Customers with BP.
