Verification failure in LMDB

Hi guys,

I'm not able to execute the verification of a product system successfully in LMDB (see screenshot).

The error messages are:

1. Successor product version SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0 of older product version SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 1.0 assigned

2. Cannot recognize installed product instance SAP PORTF AND PROJ MGMT 5.0 - Portf & Proj Mgmt NW702

Version of SolutionManager: 7.1 SP10 with "integrated" SLD (7.0213, CR is up to date)

Version of technical system assigned to product system: ERP6.0 EHP6 IDES (fresh install)

All product instances where delivered automatically by SLD.

Can anybody help me solving this issue?

I'm struggling with this problem already for some days without getting closer to a solution.

Hello,

The errors:

1. Successor product version SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0 of older product version SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 1.0 assigned

This type of error usually means that there is one software components that can belong to either SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 1.0 or SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0, but a product instance that covers this unknown software component is not assigned yet.

In the case of these products, there is not a component that could belong to the two, which means that you have indeed assigned the SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 1.0 or SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0, at the same time.

So:

- Check if the EHSM components are in version 100 or 200 in your system.

- If they are on 100, remove the SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0 from LMDB, and vice-versa

2. Cannot recognize installed product instance SAP PORTF AND PROJ MGMT 5.0 - Portf & Proj Mgmt NW702

- Check the product instance entry in LMDB, are the software components for this product instance installed? This can be determined in LMDB by going to the product system then opening the node technical systems, AS ABAP, product instances tab  (in a SP10 Solution Manager , product instance - details), and in the lower window frame, you will see the software component list for that product instance , and whether the software components are installed or not.

- IF the software components are not installed, then it is probably best to just remove the product instance . If the software components are installed, it is something that is a little more difficult to solve.

Hello,

to 1.:

There is SAP EHS MGMT. EXTENSION 2.0 installed:

Nonetheless LMDB is saying, that version 1.0 is installed (delivered automatically):


How can I fix this inconsistency?

Hi Christian,

unfortunately my Solution Manager is not available for me to make screenshots.

  1. In your Product system view, you need to open the technical system view tree.
  2. Change to edit mode
  3. select the old "duplicate" product and click on the delete button.
  4. Save, and change back to display mode

I hope this gives you a idea.
I will supply screenshots as soon as my SolMan has completed the update.

Hi Niklas,

I have tried so, but the only option to delete is under "software component versions" and there I see only the correct EHSM 2.00 version.

When I remove the "installed" flag (on product instance tab), it's automatically set again.

For EHSM 1.00 LMDB says, that the product instance is installed, but not the component version and for EHSM 2.00 vice versa. Can that be?

Hi Christian,

my SolMan works again.

In the Product system you of you system you need to

  1. select the technical system in the navigation tree in edit mode
  2. select the product you want to remove
  3. click the delete button.

Please see the screenshot below

I hope this helps.

Have you already set your user parameters to be able to edit settings in LMDB?

Hello,

If you have trouble deleting the product instance for the old version, make sure you add in SU01 the parameter LMDB_AUTO_DS_OVRWRT with value 06. This should stop LMDB from reverting the changes you do.

Hi Christian, please ensure you have the updated ST-APIs on the satellite system. Else the information supplied will be obsolete.

Hi Ranjith,

thanks also for your help. I have updated to the newest ST-A/PI (ST-A/PI    01Q_731    0002    SAPKITAB9L    Servicetools for SAP Basis 731).

I have ensured that RZ70 and sync SLD->LMDB did run properly, have deleted the product system and recreated it, but at the end I had the same errors in the verification run.

So this wasn't the reason for the issue.

Hi Kamil,

thanks for your hints, but unfortunately they do not contain a solution for the problem.

It is not possible to change the product instance assignments manually as all assignments are delivered automatically by SLD, trying to change them gives the warning "Product instances of the technical system are supplied automatically" and changes are reverted.

I have also followed the instructions from note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1816146, which didn't solve the problem also.

Do you have further suggestions ?
