Bi Skill Improve

Hi Gurus,

I am new in sap BI. I need to improve my skills in sap BI. Now I am working on BI Support project, Process chain monitoring. I want to improve my skills, could someone can suggest me how to improve this bottom to top.

Could some suggest me some document , will be very helpful.

I have documents, Confuse where need to start.

Highly Appreciate your help.

    Hi Devesh,

    Appreciate for choosing SAP BI. You will have excellent learning opportunities working in a Support Project, if you are more on to Troubleshooting side rather Monitoring.

    To my knowledge, Process Chains are to automate the data loads which could be consider as the last process of SAP BI application usage.

    To start up….

    Initially, go with the comparison of all the available Data warehouse tools/Applications similar to SAP BI which are competing in the market to gain more knowledge.

    If you are good at Data warehouse concepts then directly jump to application (SAP BI) concepts otherwise work on Data warehouse concepts so that it would be easy for you to grip application concepts.

    For SAP BI.

    Please work on as follows

    • Modeling

    • ETL (Extraction Transmission and Load)

    • Reporting

    There are numerous documents available in help.sap.com as well in internet for all the above.

    The above mentioned are all purely self viewed. They might not match with others. So better to take as much as inputs from others and decide your way to start up.

      Hi Marlijn,

      I have ides system to improve my skills, Could not do practice on production. I have basic knowledge of data modeling, reporting, process chain monitoring.

      How to load data from source system to data target, Process chain creation, info package, infocube, datasource, DSO, Multiproviders,transformation, ETL process etc i have basic knowledge.

      I want to improve my skills in these more deeply, Basically As I am working on bi monitoring, So i want to know more about data loading from source system.

      So if you can provide me some Docs for this, Please provide me.
