Hi
we deployed in our production system and using it fine , but when i went and checked the Characteristics table field in release strategy for plant it is grey scale how it can happen
snapshot of characteristics attached
but in cl20n it correctly call the value of the plant field
my release strategy is working fine , now i want to know how it can be grey field and release strategy for schedule agreement is not working will it be due to these
Regards
Leo
Have you checked, your release strategy is working fins as per plant classification...
I assume, this characteristics is not connected to SA release strategy (plant characteristics)
Check which class is assigned to release code..
Then check the class, is the same characteristics is assigned to class??
Is there any other characteristic is assigned to this class ?

My release strategy is working fine for all po in me21n , for these i have two plants a and b so i took one plant and had only one plant in my characteristics the system working fine it dint make release strategy for removed plant and release strategy is occurring for maintained , system is working fine in me21n
i have no problem in working , the issue is why the plant table and field name is hidden in characteristics for plant but visible for companycode and document type
and as u told release stratergy is not triggering for any schedule agreement

I have tested the scenario now..
As I have said your plant classification is not working, its correct..
I have also created a characteristics with blank table and field..
Then I have assign it with class and done the further process..
I can see in every case my release strategy is triggered..
Here you other classification (Document type and Company Code) is triggering on release strategy.
For more clarification, I suggest, just do a R & D, create a release strategy (Characteristics will be blank value in table and field) in practice client.. Then test the scenario..
I am quite sure, you forgot to enter the value..
You can check one way... (may be its possible in your system.)
Go to CT04, enter a Characteristic like as ZZZZ, then press create..
Then go to the tab Addnl data..
Then press "Space" in Field Name..
You can see a list of you last uses.. Check is there WERKS available ?
If you didn't find WERKS in this list, then you can sure about that you forgot to enter the table and field.
Because after assignment, you can see changes is not possible..
Can you please check once the changes log for CT04..
Go to CT04, enter the Characteristics, then click as below

the reference table and reference field in CT04 becomes greyed out when the characteristic is already assigned to a class.
use the where-use list from CT04 environment menu to see all allocations, then remove those allocations and your table and field name fields become availabe again for maintenance .

Hi
Goto T Code: CT12, enter your characteristic and execute. you can see the list of classes assigned . remove the assignment of this characteristic from all assigned classes. so that you can see Communication Table and field will be enabled in CT04.
Thanks

Hi,
If a characteristics is assigned to a class, then the table and field name will be displayed as greyed out.
If you want to change the table and field name in CT04, you have to remove the assignment of the characteristic to all classes. Go to CT04 and go to details of characteristc. Go to menu - environment - where used list and find the classes in which the chara is used. Go to CL02 and remove the characteristic from the class. Now, if you check in CT04, the table and field name would be changeble.

Hi,
The release characteristics for plant seems to be wrong, since the table name and field name is not entered. Maintain the same as explained above and then maintain the table name as CEKKO and field name as WERKS for the plant chara. Maintain the characteristic values in CL24N and check whether release strategy is triggered.
