The infoobject cannot be created in attribute of Infoobject in 7.31

Hello All,

I am working on BW7.31 SP7. I find the infoobject in attribute could not be created. The reproduce steps are:

RSA1->InfoObjects->Create char InfoObject-> Fill required fields in the General tab->Go to Attributes tab->create a infoobject in attribute field and fill all required fields->Click "Activate"

Previously there will be a pop-up message to tell you "Dependent inactive Info Objects exist – should these be activated also?", but now, nothing pop up, and the message tells you "InfoObject <attribute InfoObject> is not available in version M.

Is there someone met this issue?

Hi Zhang.

First create and save the primary info object. later you can add /create attribute at attribute tab level.

As my guess you didn't saved your primary object.

other wise do like this.

create your info objects(Z1 and Z2) individuals.After the activation go to your primary object(Z1), change mode---> attribute tab--> enter the info object(Z2) as attribute.

again save and activate your primary object(Z1)

I am not blocked in creating infoobject, as I could use your "other wise" way to create.

My question is "I also create and save the primary info object, but the system doesn't allow me to activate the attribute infoobject in 7.31.SP7. Previously, it will ask you. Why this function miss?"

Recently upgraded to 7.31?

Might be that function related patches or updates not in place.

can you try to activate info object thru abap program - RSD_IOBJ_ACTIVATE.

Try to activate other info object. if you face the same issue then better take call with sap support.
