AO Reports consuming Bex Reports

Hello Everyone,

We are consuming Bex Queries and building AO Workbooks.

For consuming the bex queries in AO, do we need to enable the setting -  " allow external access to the query "?

Because i use to enable this setting for webi/AOLAP for web version.

So want to know, do i need to do enable the setting for Analysis for Office Version also.

Thanks Tammy. In AO we are consuming the bex query directly.. Then Why it is so different when compare to other BO tools. Can you please share your thoughts why this setting is not required.
