BPC 10.1 - Time Dependent Hierarchy

Hi,

I created a User Defined Dimension in 10.1 wanting to test the Time Dependent Hierarchy but I am running into inability to

turn that fucntionality on. When I create the dimension and check the "Time Dependent Hierarchy" checkbox on the Structure of Dimension screen it prompts me to save the new setting. As soon as I save the checkbox becomes unchecked. Any advice, hints?

Hi,

I don't think its possible to change setting, once you enable time dependent Hierarchy.

Can you just give a try to change value of  following global parameter to BLANK instead of X

ENABLE_TIME_DEENDENT_HIER

sorry I probably wasn't clear.

During the initial process of setting up the dimension I want to turn the "time-dependent hierarchy" feature on. To turn this feature on I have to check the box on the dimension structure configuration screen.As soon as I do that the system prompts me to save the setting informing me that one you save the setting you cannot undo it.

I confirm, click save and the checkbox that indicates the time-dependent hierarchy setting clear back to the original setting. In other words, nothing gets saved.
