add an *indexable* customer attribute to the UME

Dear Experts,

Would it be possible to add an indexable customer attribute to the UME?

I have the following scenario:

1. UME is based on the portal’s internal database

2. /ume/users directory is indexed

3. communities should be provided with their own who-is-who iViews

As a possible solution I see the additional customer ume attribute which then can be indexed. Is this possible in the context of the current portal release?

Thanks in advance for your invaluable attention!

Hi Platon,

I do not quite understand what your goal is.

There is a UME repository manager that feeds the so-called "people renderer". Thus, the indexing of the user data itself cannot be yiur issue.

Is your question:

"How can I create subsets of the UME repository by adding an additional attribute that is set to indexable?"

Hi Karsten,

Thanks for your reply. What I do not understand is mapping process between the UME attributes (e.g. {com.sap.security.core.usermanagement}uniquename) and km properties (e.g. uniquename ) of corresponding UME objects.

I would like to have my own UME attribute (ume_name) to be mapped to the KM property (km_name) so that i can assign this attribute as indexable.

thanks for your help!

I think i found it:

Configuration > Content Management > Repository Managers > UME Object Settings > UME Principals > UME Attribute Mapping

is this correct?
