Additional Fields In Hybris Marketing

Hello experts,

I am trying to load data to data mamagement in Hybris Marketing, but i would like to add some addtional fields. Does Hybris Marketing have a limit to load additional fields?

The "Custom Fields and Logic" Fiori App is really user-friendly, you can create custom fields and upon publishing them the necessary HANA/ABAP/technical things are set in the background (I'm also functional so I don't know exactly what it does 🙂 ). But then these new custom fields are also immediately available on the csv import template sheets + on the customer profile + also in the odata I think.

Hi All,

Just a follow up question to this forum, can we edit a custom field once it is published,

asking as I have created an extension field in our tenant and published the same , however I would like to delete some list values for this extension field but can not see a way to delete an list value rather the entire field .. 😞

Hi Arjun,

As a standard there is no option to delete the list values for an already published field. We had a similar issue and raised it to SAP.

Hi,

For me (also 1702 on-premise) it appears in the "extensibility and adaptability" group.

It navigates to the url ending in /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html#CustomField-develop

Have you assigned standard (or copied) authorization roles containing access to the tile?

I use these four for my admin user:

SAP_MARKETING_BUS_ADMIN_USER

SAP_MARKETING_EXPERT

SAP_MARKETING_IN_S4H_EXPERT

SAP_MARKETING_USER_ADMIN

I can see now the App but the value help of "Business Context" field is Empty, do you know if custom configuration is required?

Hi,

Sorry, I don't know that. It immediately worked for me after my colleagues from Basis installed the system and did the basic configuration. I don't know exactly what they did, but I know that in transaction CUAN_TECHNICAL_CONF you can navigate to the technical configuration cockpit and you see the status of the installed scenario's, such as the "Essentials" scenario or the "Campaign Management" scenario, and these should be green.

What can also help is on your "Custom Fields and Logic" app, to use F12 in Chrome and check the console view. You can sometimes see that calls to specific services failed, and then you can activate those in transaction SICF. But that is more the case when you click a tile and get an "error opening the app, try again later" kind of message, so not sure if it can help in the current case.

Thanks for your quick answer. I have done myseld the technical configuration 🙂 there was no step for enabling a Business Context. Anyway I would have a look. Another thing if you may help me, I do not find any place to Add "Additional Field" from Data Import App, but according to Administration Guide this should be possible.!

Hello Vervinct,

I do not see "Custom Fields and Logic" application in Hybris Marketing On-Premise 1702. I have added necessary Catalog Roles but it is still not visible. Could you please advice if any other configuartion is required?

The answer would be easier if you specify for which objects you want to add additional fields.

Assuming you meant the Interaction Contact:

1.There are some predefined extension fields that can be readily used. Unfortunately these are limited to the fields specified in structure CUAN_S_CE_IC_PRE_DEF_EXT. No changes to HANA models needed.

2. For additional fields you can add as many fields as you would like to an append structure. To make these fields accessible at for instance "Import Data", you will need to update some of the HANA models and do a buffer refresh.

Dear Komur,

I am working with HM on premise 1702 and we are integrating HM with other system. I didn't use the app for adding new fiels. We just extended the standard table an the fields appear in the contact profile page. But now we want to delete some fields , for example Code of type of Person = 1 - Type of person = fistic

We want to keep the description but we don't want to keep the ID, could you please give me your advice?

Dear Mariela,

Is there a reason why you for instance did not use a domain for that field?

In our case, we maintained field with domain:

In the profile this appears as:

the data will be saved with the fixed values in your database table. This seems the easiest solution for your issue.

Also, you might need to clear all values for the field you are planning to delete otherwise you might not be able to delte it.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have a doubt regarding this solution, as i saw in my Contact Profile this is not possible to change information's fields, as your example of "Family Size" , your user will be able to change it for another value? from 1 person to 3 person ??

The idea is to keep the original information from the external ERP into my HM contact profile.

Dear Mariela,

You might need to look into authorization on whether users are allowed to change values or not.

Since my user has SAP_ALL, I am allowed to change almost anything including the additional fields.
