All -
We just applied up to support pack 83 and we're running 10.e1
Then I tested the 'Synchronization Payroll Tax Data' program.
It did NOT work. I verified this by the fact that new entry in T5UTX for tax authority ME 10 was not inserted as expected (in TUB 44).
I opened an incident with SAP in November which I did not ever receive a response on . Back then I was still on 10.d I believe. I proceeded with the e1 Cyclic and the support packs anyway, hoping to finally get a good result.
What recourse do we have a this point?
Tammy
I thought I would share in case no one has seen this on the SAP Service Marketplace. I just noticed it today when I was checking for W-2 notes.
Since there has been so much difficulty understanding how to implement the new Payroll Tax Data Synchronization tool, and since changes have been made since the original presentation in March, will the documentation be updated accordingly? We are going to start implementing this tool in a month or so, and would like to be looking at the most recent documentation. This blog has been good, but it is so long!
Thanks
Janice
Hello, Ana -
Sorry to hear this. I have not had issues loading nrq files - other than some of them take a long time. I would check the temp files for errors and send them to BSI. I don't remember problems with TUB 39 but do remember TUB 40 took a long time to load. We are still on cyclic D since we saw no reason to apply cyclic E (I do not like to be on the bleeding edge of BSI changes 😊).
Best regards,

Can someone at BSI explain why there is no correlation between
the BSI web release package and system tools for Tax Locator? This is somewhat
annoying in determining if we have the most recent package installed. Unless I
have a translation table saved I can’t tell by looking at the notice and system
tools. For Regulatory Bulletins and Cyclic releases this isn’t a problem
because they are one for one.

Hello community,
Some of you may have faced an issue with the links from TUB 31 (SAP Note 2055747) and TUB 148 (SAP Note 2055728).
They were already fixed and are available now.
Regards,
Cassiana.
It took some doing, but I've summarized my experience with upgrading to TF10 and put together a step-by-step guide. It ran a little overlong, because I like to use screenshots and it wouldn't all fit into a single blog post, but my hope is that this will address some of the questions I've seen come up in this thread about such things as configuring Tomcat, ODBC drivers, the TF XML client, RFC connections, etc. Some of it is SQL Server specific, but can probably be adapted to other platforms; some of it is platform-neutral.
It does not go into the details of configuring Payroll; that's outside my expertise. This guide is more from a Basis perspective in supporting Payroll and TaxFactory.

Hi Graziela,
We are having several issues with the Courtesy Withholding and Reciprocity configuration. Seems like there are some posts already on this topic but, there is no clear guidelines on how to resolve. For example, without configuring anything in V_T5UX9_COUWH, PA locals tax calculation is working fine but, for OH locals, the taxes are not being calculated. What is the difference in these two locals? Shouldn't all the locals follow the same logic? Also, could you please provide the documentation on how to configure this?
Also, it may be good idea if you can do a FAQ by grouping the similar questions and then providing the resolution. This will greatly help anyone looking for the help instead of going through the 33 pages of information.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dear All,
We have recently completed the BSI tax factory 10.0 Upgrade in Nike. I have published a document in SCN which details about configuration activities that needs to be performed in SAP and the major functionality changes/enhancements in BSI tax factory 10.0 as compare to version 9.0.This document can be accessed via link mentioned below
