Web Dynpro Launcher in UWL

HI all..

in UWL, i can not launch a Work item ..

when i click on a workitem, it tries to launch the same in TASK iview of UWL.. i have specified my dynpro system for the same.. and in SWFVISU .. i have specified the application and package correctly.. (as given in help).

but still i have following error..

Application error occurred during request processing.

Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Wrong WebDynpro-URL: no application name specified The ID of this error is

Exception id: [0013211D511800530000004F000001480004051A4B6799D3].

can anyone please suggest something on this.. any one who knows ..when u have an exception ID, how to look at its log ??

i m trying to approve leave using WS12300111 .. and it uses TS123000097 to approve it. i have maintained it in SWFVISU

com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl

this is the package and path which i have specified in SWFVISU.. if u run this "LeaveRequestApprover" from web dynpro content management .. it works fine. i can see the leave requests and i can approve / reject.

but from UWL.. it's not able to launch.

for UWL .. is it any other application that we have to use??

Hello,

The default entry for the LeaveRequestApprover

LeaveRequestApprover

com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl

didnt work for me at all. The reason is, the application isnt installed at this package location. At the WebDynpro Content Administrator it points to "sap.com/ess~lea".

So i changed the entry at /swfvisu to:

Application: LeaveRequestApprover

Package: sap.com/ess~lea.

hi mark,

i have already tried the same, but for me that doesnt work for me either. one doubt I have my HRMS system on different machine..with diff. WAS and portal on another machine with different WAS..does this has to do anything with this leave work item.

and mark, if i go to this sap.com\ess~lea .. theres a application LeaveRequestApprover.

if i run it from this location.. i can see the leaves pending for approval. but not from UWL.

hey mark... thanks a lot for the hint..

i checked the XML config file.. there it was still refering to sap.com.xss.hr.lea i changed it to sap.com/ess~lea and its wotking now

i have awarded full points ...

Ashu,

After changing SWFVISU you needed to regenerate the UWL XML files from UWL configuration. This would have updated the file for you automatically.
