Can any one explains me the role of functional consultant in enhancement activity..
Hi Sriharsha,
As functional consultant your responsible for the particular business requirement.Initinally Functional consultant is responsible for all requirement gathering content based on fucntional consultant inputs techinal consultant will desinge further solution.
Let say if user wants to do shift wise confirmation through PI sheet which is not available in SAP for this we should go for enhacement whether it is screen exist or user exist.
for this type of requirement you should designe Functional specs including table & field name that need to provide to Abap consultant.
You can check enhacement using CMOD & SMOD tcode.
Just for your information check below link

Hi,
As per my understanding, FC is totally responsible for the outcum of the enhancement because he has to guide the ABAPer for the exact requirement of the client/end user.
To guide the ABAPer, FC has to create the Functional Specification (FS) and provide the test case data for testing purpose.

Narresh

Hi Sriharsha,
Functional consultant is responsible to frame the required logic and prepare the functional specification. Once the enhancement activity is completed FC needs to test and confirm the correctness.
