Hi.

I developed an application that use authentication, and after the user is authenticated y have a view where i do some extra validations(e.g. the user has employee number) if the user has no success in those validations, a modal window(popup) informs the user about the situation.

Well, when this happends the internet explorer give a popup message that says:

'Internet explorer cannot open the internet site

<App URL>

Operation aborted'

and when click the Ok button the explorer shows an error:

'The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.'

I dont know why is this happening.

I hope somebody knows and can help me, solve this.

    Hello

    let me put it this way...

    the popup shows without anyproblem, but when you try to close the popup with a button you come across the error.

    If the above assumption is right than you will have to apply the webdynpro runtime patches.

    We had a problem with popup windows but the ror was different...

    hope this works out for you...

      Hello Gregory,

      if you have a local instance of WAS, I would suggest you to try intsllaing the web dynpro runtime patches, it is worth trying it out and the installation is something like 30 mins.

      Also if possible coule you paste the code that your using for the popup.

    I faced the exact same problem.

    Please check how-to-activate-an-event-handler-manually Read the COMPLETE thread... especially the second last entry. Valery has given the possible explanation for this problem & a perfect workaround .. 😊

    And it works absolutely fine too !
