Is Windows XP Service Pack 3 supports SAP 9.0 ?

Hi Experts,

We have a problem in SAP B1 9.0 PL 0 installation in windows XP SP3 . After installation it is showing the following error

"Unable to connect companies in current server as algorithm not updated,run common upgrade to update security algorithm".

We are not done any upgrade.This is first time installation.

What is the reason behind this.?
