I'm trying to upgrade ME6.1 to ME6.1 SP04. It is recommanded to use SUM for the upgrade. May I know where is the SUM inbox located? I would like to copy the .SCA files to SUM inbox but no idea where should I copy to. Appreciate for any help. Thanks.

You just create a new directory where you put all files, including stack xml. In one of the first steps, you have to enter the location of the stack xml, SUM checks whether all support packages exist and can be read.

Hi,

As I remember, SUM asks you to select the folder where stack file is located. So, you do not need Inbox as it is.

Thanks Sergiy, I found the SUM upgrade guide for MaxDB/Oracle from SMP. If I want to upgrade ME6.1 to SP04 (my NW 7.3 installed with MaxDB), but my SAP ME is install under Oracle DB, which SUM upgrade should I follow? the MaxDB or Oracle?

Just another question, I am having trouble to find NetWeaver 7.3 EHP1 from SMP. Would you kindly guide me to the place for the software download? Thanks very much for your help.

Hi,

Since you are upgrading ME6.1, you need to follow the upgrade guide with Oracle DB.

And you can donwload NW 7.31 under

SAP Software download center ->

   Installation and Upgrades ->

        A -Z index -> N -> SAP Netweaver

in case you cannot find the medias under that path, make sure you are licensed for NW 7.31.

Cheers,

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for your reply. Under ssdc -> Installation and Upgrades -> N  index -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 7.3, I click on

'Upgrade' -> 'Microsoft Windows' -> 'Oracle Database', and I see the list of downloads listed below. However, I am not sure whether this is NW 7.3 EHP 1.

Would you kindly advise me whether this is the right place to download NW 7.3 EHP 1. Thanks for your help

Ingrid

hi Ingrid,

Under SAP NETWEAVER, you can see "SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER
7.3
".

SUM does not deal with RDBMS used by SAP ME. So you need SUM with MaxDB that is used by NW.

Oracle of SAP ME comes into action only at the stage of configuring SAP ME after deployment.
