Hi Experts,

I need some information where i can see what kind of processing type is used in variables.

In my case there is a selection, In that selection keyfigure has been restricted to a characteristic and there is a variable for that characteristic.

I am unable to understand what kind of processing type is used for that variable. When I double click on that variable its now showing any thing.

Please help me in this.

Thanks & Regards,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

You might refer to table RSZGLOBV in the BW backend once you know the Variable Name. This table contains all variables and their properties. Important fields are:

  • VNAM - Variable Name;
  • VARTYP - Type of variable;
  • VPROCTP - Processing type;
  • IOBJNM - InfoObject;
  • Etc.

Best regards,

Sander

We have 5 types of variable in SAP BI:

This variables usage varies based on its processing types.

1) Characteristics Variables 2) Text variables   3) Formula Variables   4) Hierarchy Variable and 5) Hierarchy node variable

Same as variables we have 5 processing types

1) Manual Entry   2) Replacement path   3) Authorizations 4) Customer Exit   5) SAP Exit

find the Google so many doc available about Variable types and processing types.

hope it will help.
