SAP Connect Rules

Dear experts.

i am trying to create some rules regarding the outgoing message.

For instance: if the subject of the email contains the word "prevent" to do not send the email.

Tipical rules just like the outlook.

Is that possible with the SAP connect? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Sara,

No, there is no standard functionality to do that on the SAP side but SAP does not send the mails, SAP CONNECT hands the mails to the SMTP server, so I believe you can indeed set the rules on the SMTP server side without issues.

You can set the rule and do a simple test from your Sandbox.

There are rules available for recipient number.

Rules for Recipient Number Adjustment - SAPconnect (BC-SRV-COM) - SAP Library

There are no rules for text based filtering.

I am not sure if in SCOT there is something that can filter outgoing emails by subject title but for sure on the mailserver server (the next hop from the SAP system) has some function like that.
