Sharing reference in WD properties

Hi Everyone,

One of our developers would like to use a enterprise portal service within a web dynpro. According to the tutorial "using knowledge management functionality in web dynpro applications" he needs to use serveral jar-files and a 'sharing reference' to KM within the portal.

We are developing in a so-call scenario 3 (layered track development). The problem we are facing is how to "connect" our WebDynpro to the standard classes from the Enterprise Portal.

What we did was the following.

1. The needed jar-files were placed in a external library. This library is used in the track and works just fine.

2. We manual adding of the sharing reference in the properties of the web dynpro.

After these actions, we have a working solution.

But with the second action we might have a possible problem. As a rule I learned that one should not manual change the properties in a scenario 3 development.

The NWDS does this for you. For example: When one defines a use dc relation, NWDS changes the properties accordingly.

Is it a problem in this case to manual add a sharing reference? If so, what is the proper way to do this?

I hope that someone can help us

Best regards

RON
