Before opening it is coming with a pop up. Please refer attached pop up.

Note: I am maintaining the settings in BEx Anlyzer Global settings -> default workbook check box Use XLS File format.

But still confused what todo.

Waiting for your suggestions, comments on it.

Kindly advise

Best regards,

Kamaal

hi Sidd,

Please don't use that program, instead use program RS_BROADCAST_BATCH.

Your excel version is MS-Office 2003 and you are trying to open an 2007 or  above version file. That's why you are getting that pop up message. Just say YES, it will be opened.

Otherwise install MS-Office 2007 or above in your system to avoid that pop up. There is another work around to edit the registry files of MS-Off 2007 excel to remove that pop -up(which is not advisable to touch registry files)

Hello Suman,

Thanks for your reply.

Here I am not bothered about popup, my data is coming in junk characters. My MS-OFFICE version is 2010.

When I save that email attachment to local system in .XLSM format I am able to open and see the correct data. But I dont want to save it locally  with .XLSM extension then open it, I want to see the data right from email attachment only, like we do in our day today office life.

Waiting for your valuable inputs.

I am sure this is due to Excel versions compatibility issue. What is the E mail service you are using?

Your actual problem is in that email service. It cannot render with data properly while displaying.

Hello Suman,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I agree with you but how to find out and how to reach the root cause, so that I can correct it.

I am using Outlook.

This is not in your hands now. You must contact Outlook maintenance team to resolve the issue..

Hello Suman,

Thanks for your reply.

But Suman, to how many Outlook teams we will contact.

In my scenario, I am sending reports by using pre calculation server and sending to different people, they may be from other company also so they have their own outlook etc, in this way I shall forward more or less 5000 emails. And these recipients may be from different companies.

So we cannot go and ask to each vendors Outlook maintenance teams.

Instead of contacting all your recipients teams, you can simply contact MS-Outlook customer support, right? Get the solution from them and share with all your Recipients,

Hi Kammal

If you open your workbook with the bex analyzer how many rows you have in one sheet?

Have you checked the following article? (1840946)

Thank you

Hi Yiannis,

Thanks for your  email .

I did not checked how many rows, but it is displaying as  normal as it is coming in  RSRT output.

Still I did not checked that given note.

Will check and come back.

Warm regards,

Kamaal.

Hi Yiannis,

Thank you very much for your reply and providing the note.

I checked your given note (1840946), it is very much useful for me.

It tells use RSRD_BROADCAST_BATCH program instead of RS_PREC_PLAN.

So I am developing an ABAP to create BEx broadcast settings dynamically. I need to send 5000 email attachments to the reciepients. It is a monthly activity.

So I am started filling the below tables and some more.

RSRD_SETT_NODE_A

RSRD_SETTING

RSRD_SETT_NODE_T

My only worry is can a pre calculation server handle these many email attachments. And what about the SOST, I mean it create one entry against to one email.

Any method to fine tune this requirement.

Warm regards,

Hi There

You need to send 5000 attatchments or one attatcment to 5000 recipients?

If you want to send the same file to many recipients then create a group of recipients and send it once.

I didn't had a situtation like yours, but i believe you won't have any issue with it.

I saw some notes regarding performance but i didn't see any limitation.

Precalculation is like a pc generating reports one by one, so if you want to create 5000 reports you'll have to think about it.

Thank you
