new MRP procedure With New selection rule?

HI Gurus,

i have come across a situation the requirement is to configure a NEW MRP Type with NEw selection rules(REquirement Calluclation)

in the standard SAP system MRP Type is assigned with MRP Procedure by which the Behaviour of the MRP type will be decided. can any body tell me

what the scope of THis MRP procedure, and how can we configure new MRP Procedures according to our requirement.

The customizing to define a new MRP type is OMDQ, however, you can only choose one of the existing MRP procedures. The logic behind the MRP calculation is very complex and it cannot be changed on customizing.

There are some BAdIs that allow you to influence the MRP behavior.

Hi,

You can customize the parameters of the MRP types delivered with SAP R/3 according to your own requirements. You can also add new MRP types.

Take the help of SAP documents for the same. Below link may guide you.

But as suggested by above expert it is very difficult to set the logic and configuration for new MRP procedure creation.
