when doing goods receipt without po using movement type 501 i want to be able to put the amount and dont want the amount to be coming from the moving average price in the material master.

You have to use MIGO for that....

In OMJJ setting, make the field Ext. Amount LC (EXBWR) required entry...

Then try MIGO... (It will not effect in MB1C)

Give the value in Ext. Amount LC.

The value will be calculated in accounting entry...

thanks but if i make the field mandatory wont it affect also transactions as well for example when doing goods receipt with reference to a po with mvt 101

You are making the field as required field for the movement type 501...

It will not effect other movement type...

It will be only effect for movement type 501..

Go to OMJJ, choose movement type, enter the movement type 501 from and to.

The do the settings.

I have tested that...

The Ext. Amount LC field is mandatory in MIGO for movement type 501...
