Pricing for Group of materials

Hi Experts!!!

what provision do sap have in sd to create group of materials so that there will be discounted price for the whole group

e.g. product A.B.C &D each costing 200/- group cost should be say 600/- instead of 800/- how to configure this.

Hi Manish,

For your requirement you can use Material pricing group in material master where you have to put A, B, C and D in same group.

After which you maintain standard condition type K029 ( Mat. pricing group) in your pricing procedure. Made change accordingly ( calculation type, scale basis etc...) also put tick mark in group condition in K029 control.

Then maintain your condition record...

Thanks som, chandrakant , bala & abhinay for your valuable inputs

but we are looking for package sale, like we want to create different packages of all items

all items should reflect in sales order) & want to give discount on each package whereas in ur suggested scenario we have go to mat.master every time to make changes in mat.gr. instead we want to create packages of different materials with different combinations & pricing will be picked as per package.
we don't want to use BOM as it involves lot of config. part.

Hi Manish,

Can you please inform how are you planning to club the materials into different packages? Is there any standard field or Z-field that are you are using to say that a particular material belongs to Package "A" for example. If you have such a field already selected then please inform us and we can suggest a solution based on that.

Otherwise, you can make use of the field Material Pricing Group to club the materials into different packages. Whenever some changes are made to the packages, you can always make use of LSMW or MASS to assign the materials to the new package or remove the materials from a particular package by making changes to the Material Pricing Group field of those materials. By this and along with the solution of creating a new discount type you can have materials grouped into different packages and have a specific discount for each of those packages.

Please revert in case you have any further concern.

Hi Som,

It looks like, Manish is looking for combination of materials qty as well. In your suggestion if one of the material fulfills the condition, system will give discount. But he is expecting only if all materials appears and then only provide discount !!

Also, we may not be able to put same material in two different pricing groups. Am I right Manish, is this your looking at?

Bit stubborn scenario. Which industry this happens Manish. Meanwhile we are thinking on solution too. Lets see how!

Hi Manish,

Som and Bala is right for your scenario. We might give exact input if you describe more about it. Is it ok if your Order carries only A and B material and still get some discount on this?

Or, do you have to have all four (A, B, C and D) materials appear in Order and then only get discount?

Does the Order qty of such materials need to play any role i.e. one each only or so?

With BOM you can do it.

IF business don't want to use BOM.You should use Discount Group Criteria for Each item

Hi Manish,

As suggested by Somasundaram you can group the required Materials in Mat. Master Sales Org 2 view
and create a pricing group and discounts.

Hi Manish,

You can group all the materials for which a common discount must be applied under a single value for the field Material Pricing Group (MVKE-KONDM) in Sales Org 2 View of Material Master.

Once done, create a new access sequence which uses the table 029 (Material Pricing Group) as shown below:

Now create a new discount condition type (you can use RB00 as a base for this) and then assign the access sequence created above to that condition type. Include this condition type into your pricing procedure and then create the necessary condition records with the discount value for the particular Material Pricing Group.

This should meet your requirement. Kindly check and confirm the same.

Dear

You can achieve this by standard itself  ..

do one thing First make it BOM

Steps fallow :

1) create one dummy material like 1234

2) CS01-- Main item is 1234 and sub items are  A.B.C &D

3) now while creating condition records in VK11 For main item 1234( Dummy item)

give 600 rs

4) go to sales order creation give 1234 order item automatically you wil get sub items with 600 rs only simple
