ME 6.1 upgrade

Hi Experts,

We are migrating from ME 5.2 system to ME 6.1 .

Plan:

Installing a new system for 6.1 and need to move the data of ME 5.2 into it.

Please let me know the best practice for WIP, ODS database and client components& configuration movement

what has to be done in the source and target systems

kindly suggest relevant SAP notes also.
