Powerbuilder 12.5.2 Classic and .net 4.5

278 Views

Hi,

I'm trying to consume Web Services from a Powerbuilder 11.5.1 applicaiton and ran in to problem with conplex schema.

it would work for simple schema but once our message got more complex using

<xs:complexType name="TransactionType">

...

that where we would start to get failures.

We were due to look at the upgrade to 12.5.2 for a while so I decided to look at the migragtion to confirm it would work and it did.

up to here all is still good

Now for my Question.

I plan to build PB Classic 12.5.2 application and deploy to workstations that have .net 4.5 Framework installed.

* being that i use Classic is that going to work?

* Being that the code generation for Web Service proxy does rely on .net SDK is this still OK?

* if Target Workstation is really not an issue what about developer workstations do i need to ensure that developers workstation don't upgrade from .net 4.0 to 4.5?

Thanks for any help on the subject.
