Hello,
Details: We would like to have an email-notification to a central email address as soon as a new workitem arrives in the SAP inbox.
I don't know where the codes should be added? Is there some enhancement of SO01.
Could anyone give me some solutions? Thanks so much.
Regards,
Star Ji

Hi, it wouild make more sense to just implement extended notifications as has been mentioned before in this thread.
Make sure that all users have a valid email address maintained and just send them an email for every workitem that has been assigned to them, or you could send a cumulative email (there are 10 workitems in your inbox, etc.)
Check SCN for blogs and also help.sap.com to help you on your way.
It might seem a bit difficult at first but it is not exactly rocket science once you know how it works.
Kind regards, rob Dielemans

Hi,
As suggested, extended notifications will solve your issue. Work with your Basis team and configure the mentioned configurations in the document and schedule the job RSWUWFML2 with a time constraint. This job will send notifications to outlook/lotus notes or etc.
Be remember: Some time user may receive the same work item twice. Because, when configuring the extended notifications, job SWN_SELSEN will configured. So, 2 jobs(RSWUWFML2 & SWN_SELSEN ) are running to push the workitems/notifications from SAP system to outlook. Based on our requirement run only one report.

Hi Star Ji!
what is the exact requirement?
1) Send email to one central email ID for ALL Work items entering SAP Inboxes
of ALL users?...Is this a central user or a distribution list
2) Send email to the respective user who gets the work item informing about it?
if it's second one, then as Ibrahim mentioned, go for extended notifications.
If it's the first one, I would rather ask the owners as to why do they want to spam one email box? Workitems will get created for Purchasing, Sales or Finance.....sending to one guy will not make sense unless he is the "Bond" and looks after all the operations
If the intention is to notify a workflow admin, there are reports which the WF admin can regularly check during the day....example SWIA -> execute with "TYPE" = 'W' (Dialog Work items), Status = 'READY' and give the date range.....it will list all dialog workitems for the date range (untouched ones)!! Why spam emails
Please do clarify on the exact reason behind this and we all shall try to help

Modak

Hi Modak,
Thanks for your reply.
The reason behind this requirement is that currently people have to look manually into the SAP Inbox if there is something to process. An email would help to trigger the HR people as soon as there is something that needs attention.
Send email to central user.

Star
Basically report RSWUWFML2 is used to send notification for all the objects available in SAP Inbox. This report needs to schedule as JOB. During the execution of this report it will pick email IDs from user settings. I will suggest copy this report and do the require changes and execute it.
