Attaching PDF form in QM02

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where I have developed an Adobe interactive form for notification screen QM02 in the ACTION BOX.

After the PDF preview, the PDF document has to be saved in the attachments tab of the notification.

Can anybody help me in the same?

Since the PDF is just the output preview, does that get saved somewhere in SAP database?

Since the PDF is just the output preview, how shall I capture the PDF and save it in the attachment tab of QM02?

Save PDF preview form in your desktop.

You can attach documents either using Service for Objects option or using DMS.

DMS should be implemented to create the documents in SAP which will have the link.

Using Services for Objects, you can attach the documents easily in normal system.

Explore more on Services for Objects & DMS system in any search engine as there are many links available in place already.

Hi Maheshwari,

User does not want to save the document in the local server and upload the same using DMS.

They want the PDF to automatically get saved and attached into the QM02 attachment tab. My concern is where in SAP can I save the form, so that I can upload the form later from the same location and attach it to QM02?

for attaching PDF in notification , DMS is required.

Create a document in DMS (TCODE CV01N) and assign Notification Object link in it.

Abap help is not required for DMS.

DMS- Document management System is a module which deals with Storing of documents on different server.

As suggested in above u can use service object also for attaching PDF.In notification creation/change tcode, left side top u will find the icon.

Note: If you a going to attach documents frequently and the size of doc are heavy then it is not recommendable to use service object.

Hi Yogini,

In my scenario, I have to achieve this functionality through ABAP, cz I am developing the PDF using ADOBE form and the user wants to automate everything in notification QM02.

I proposed the option to attach the PDF document from local server into DMS using the Service object (Create attachment).

But they find the path complicated and they want as soon as the PDF form gets displayed, user may make any changes in the form(as this is an Interactive adobe form) and save the form, it should automatically get saved in the attachment tab of QM02.

Basically their requirement is to automate the DMS functionality.
