SAP GLM WWI - Multiple labels in one label template

Hi WWI and GLM experts,

I have a clarification regarding a label requirements to be developmed using WWI. Can I have two different labels created in one label template. Like..two label pages in one template. One is a hazard label and another is a shipment label. This way label operater can print the label and place the two lables from the print out instead of printing two different labels and different printers. Please let me know if you have handled his before.

Thanks

Pugal

Hi !

You can proceed with your idea as long as the number of required labels to be used for a shipment is minimal because one disadvantage with this idea is managing the WWI Label template . One major advantage is that you would print all the labels required for a material in a single print out.

Another things you need to consider before proceeding with this idea is "label size(actual label)".

Hello Subash,

When I am designing a label in wwi do I have to give the size of the label which I have configured in spro in GLM . Can you please guide me in this as my preview in glm print area is not exactly the same as I see in wwi template preview output .

Dear M D

once again: your topic is "as old" as GLM exists. A lot of threads discuss the "same". Only one example:

It is recommended to check as well Online SAP help. A lot of hints are shown there. e.g.

Creation of Label Templates - Global Label Management (EHS-SAF-GLM) - SAP Library

and may be Dynamic Label Determination - Global Label Management (EHS-SAF-GLM) - SAP Library

could be of interest as well as:

consolut - EHS_GLM_KONFIG_SUMMA - Configuration of Global Label Management

Check e.g. threads liek:

Dear Puganzendhi

you are totally free in how you define your WWI layout. Keep in mind ot prepare suitabl3 GLM set up and maintain properly labelview in material and you simply can go on.

What might happpe oin your case is "only" that in the raw report many places might be empty and the missing data is only part of final report. Only "con" may be (depends a little bit on GLM set up): the person generating the label (raw report) and release it is "approving" the "shpment label" content as well. In most organizations the resposibilities are splitted; but no doubt: you can go on like you are aksing fro
