Cannot view messages after upgrade from SP07 to SP10

Hi,

we are facing now problem with ITSM - after upgrade, because of our oversight, roles for ITSM was overwriten by new versions, and when user logs into ITSM, it cannot write and even see any tickets.

Only one error message is showing - No authorisation object B_NOTIF_IB

What should we do in this situation?

After giving SAP_ALL profile, user can open ticket by entering its number, but list with this numbers is still gone.

It started working after adding to user SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY_COMP.

What is the transaction type you were using earlier to the upgrade. try to assign the standard role and give yourself authorization to the custom transaction type. why would you try to access notif_create? This is an obsolete transaction in solution manager sp10

So, how users should send their tickets now?

Hi martin

Have you check the Execl sheet for authorization as mention in the SAP Note 1486991?

This note is'nt helpful in our case, I think that problem is not with authorizations - in other case SAP_ALL profile would fix the problem.

Hi Martin

if you are using solman 7.1 sp10 then the users create ticket using crm_ui or sm_crm or wui transactions. notif_create is definitely not supported

Thank you for your answer.

User cannot see his tickets/messages also in this transactions. Surely he has reported messages.

Also, could you please provide source of the information, that notif_create is deprecated and it shouldnt be used anymore - I cant find this information on web.

It was selected before, but I've entered some text in Input Value and saved - nothing has changed 😕

Bleh, I'm losing hope...

This note does not help - it was implemented before and we still have this problem.

In earlier post I was wrong - user cannot display ANY messages - while searching system, it displays only "Message not found".

Thank you for your help.

Hi

As per the SAP Note have you created the Authorization object?

Could you share the screen shot?

Yes, we added this object to role and still no success. Also in history SP09/10 we can see, that this autorisation object was deleted: History SP09/10 - deleted B_NOTIF_IB (added to SAP_SYSTEM_REPOSITORY_* and SAP_SMSY_* (connection system and I-Base) - adapted SU22 default values for transaction NOTIF_CREATE - deactivated CRM_ORD_LP - added transaction AGS_WORK_LAUNCHER - deactivated authorization object PLOG
In attachement you have screenshot from role. Thank you for your help!

Of course, after giving SAP_ALL i dont receive message no authorisation, only this, when I'm trying to show message. Im sure that this message exists and this user is creator of this message.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Martin

Is it possible to find the Missing authorization by using the T-code SU53 ? just assign the Transaction code SU53 on same user id and than find the missing authorization

Ram

That did not help too

Also, we have now SP10, so notes from 2011 should be implemented.

Regards.
