Team,

For some clarification regarding end of service action in PA40.. what should the effective date to update the last working day?

Is it the last working day or last working day +1?  It is because , if the last working day of the employee is set as today, then OM , the position will be vacant from today onwards for from tomorrow onwards?

What we are doing is , if am employee’s last working date is today..am updating pa40 end service date as today..is it one?

That depends how your End of Service action is defined in table T529A. Please have a look at this table for field Date Control:

• " ": Specified date is start date for new records
• "1": Specified date is end date for old records

Example

An employee leaves the company at the end of the year but the new record is not valid until 1/1 of the following year.

• If the entry in this field is " ", enter 1/1 of the following year.
• If the entry in this field is "1", enter 12/31 of the current year.
