Automate period opening but no vairable found for current system date

Hi,

I tried to automate period opening for AR following the document by Sanjeev Kumar. However, I could not find the Current system data variables (e.g RV_ACTUAL_DATE, RV_ACTUAL_MONTH, RV_ACTUAL_YEAR, RV_MONTH_FROM, RV_YEAR_FROM) in table TVARVC.

Could anyone suggest what to do to enable thess variables in TVARVC?

I am kind of new in SAP. Appreciate if you could please direct me step by step.

Hi Eric

Frankly speaking I have no idea if this can be done (transport from client 000). I was under the impression that may be this can be transported from client 000 similar to some other elements like COD which we do if it is missing in some client. Thats why the "Maybe" in my answer.

All the background jobs which we use in our client landscapes, we are using Z variables. So, I did not think the second option is as such bad. Only that you need to maintain these periodically.

Dear Eric

These variables are delivered by default by SAP. May be you can try a copy from client 000 in co-ordination with the BASIS team.

The other option is to create Z variables for the same. These variables need to be updated manually though.
