Data Lineage in Data Integrator 4

We used to have Data Lineage (Metadata Integration) in Data Integrator , but the current version does not support it.

I found it is now in INformation Steward:

"Part of the functionality of Information Steward was formerly offered as SAP BusinessObjects Metadata Management."

Question: Is there any way to have Data Lineage in Data Integrator 4 without having to buy Information Steward for customers coming from DI 3?

You still have DI data lineage in DS 4.x. Select "Impact and Lineage Analysis" in the Welcome page of the DS Management Console. Navigate to Settings to select your repository from tehh drop-down list. Then select the Apply button. And off you go.

What has been moved out of DS is lineage and impact till the level of the BIP platform (Universes and reports). That's now part of IS functionality indeed.

According to your msg, A DI 3 customer no longer has  "lineage and impact till the level of the BIP platform (Universes and reports).".

In order to use it in DI 4.x we have to license Information Steward??

In order to use it in DI 4.x you have to install Information Steward. That's all I can say. Whether or not you need to purchase a license for it may be a totally different matter. You will have to sort that out with your local AM.
