IA05 task list - long text updation

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem in updating long text from excel sheet.

when i try to copy long text from excel sheet to PLKOD-KTEXT field, the row and column structure should be same as in excel.

Please some one help to get this done.

Surya,

Have a look in transaction SE75 for object "ROUTING".

But be careful what you change as it can impact other modules in SAP like PS, PP, CS, QM, etc.

Follow LSMW for uploading data,during recording you will get correct name of field which is to be update....or use BDC. text in excel should be as per length of field value.

Perhaps you are uploading through a BDC program. In this case, this program is not designed for Long text uploading. You need to incorporate code for Long text uploading in this program or develop a new program.

I am not copying it through BDC. Trying to copy from excel and paste it to long text field.

Then try onething.

Change Editor as shown here in the picture and then Paste. This might help you.

PLKOD-KTEXT is a 40 character field in SAP and cannot be changed.

It cannot accept multiple lines either.

You need to enter this data in the task list header long text. You can access by clicking the button to the right-hand side of the PLKOD-KTEXT fiels in IA06.
