How to add company code data to BP in SAP REFX

HI RE Gurus,

When I'm creating  Business Partners (BP roles). When I tried to assign the company code it added against one of those roles the system does not save it, and therefore I cannot create the Business Partner. Is there any configuration missing?


I need to assign BP with Company code.


Please provide suggestions/advise.

Hi Suresh,

Please see to it that for the role you are using appropriate 'BP view' under 'Interface Control' is maintained at the setting mentioned below.

Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX)->Business Partner->Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context->Business Partner Roles->Define BP Roles.

Standard views such as FLVN00 for vendor and FLCU00 for customer are available as standard SAP setting. you can also define your own settings at the 'Configure Field Attributes per BP Role' node.

This will enable you to view a 'company code' tab for that particular role at create BP screen where you can maintain company code data.

Hi Hardik,

Thank you for your inputs. I followed the steps as said. I enable  to view a 'company code' tab for that particular role to create BP and got generated BP number  & customer number and to maintain company code data I entered Company code, reconciliation acct. But I could not save the company code data. In the bottam i get the message no changes were made.

Please advise where i missed.

Please go to FD01 and maintain the customer data for the relevant company code/ recon account. I guess this should show the company code and recon account at BP display.

Dear Suresh,

Kindly follow the config as :

RECACUST > Business Partner >Business Partner Roles >Define BP Roles >

Select your BP role by double clicking it >

Assign standard BP role category i.e. TR0601 (in your case).

Also check box on Std Assignment BP Role -> BP Role Cat.

Hi Siddarth,

I have similar issue and I replicated the same in configuration .

But still when I enter the company code in the BP it is asking for Recon Account

Once I entered the recon account and save it still it is not saved with company code data.

If go out of the t code BP and again I enter in BP t code still the BP is with out Company Code Information

PLease suggest as I checked all configuration still it is same behaviour

Hi Murali,

I too had this issue once. How I resolved it?

Created a customer in the account group (ZAK0) which is linked to the BP group (ZAK0). I used transaction code FD01 to create customer. Save the customer.

If you face any issue in creating customer, resolve it first.

Thereafter either create a fresh BP or use an existing  BP and extend it with role TR0600 or any other relevant roles.

Dear Amare,

Thank you very much for your response .

As I did all the necessary configuration still it is not happening in BP company code .

I can Enter Company code but it is not saving .

When I link business partner out side with FLBPD2 -it is linking and am able to see the company code in BP .

How ever automatic Customer is not creating with the specific company code .

Did you try creating customer master data using FD01.

Yes Amare,

I am able to create customer with FD01 with out any errors.but automatic customercreation is not happening.

If I create BP separately and customer separately and If I linkthose it is working fine .

More Over I did the setting for Automatic customer creation from BP.

Step 1: - BP group creation and assigning number range RECACUST--> Flexible Real Estate Management-->Business Partner--> Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context-->Number Range-->Number Range-->Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges

Step 2: - Linking of BP group to customer account group. For this scenario both BP group and customer account group is created as ZAK0.

RECACUST--> Flexible Real Estate Management-->Business Partner--> Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context-->Business Partner - Customer-->Number Assignment: Assign Account Group to Customer

Step 3: - Maintain all the roles for which customer creation at company code level is needed.

RECACUST--> Flexible Real Estate Management-->Business Partner--> Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context-->Business Partner - Customer --> Customer Roles

(Ensure than FLCU00 is added along with other customer roles which you want to extend to company code level)

RECACUST--> Flexible Real Estate Management-->Business Partner--> Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context-->Business Partner - Customer --> Standard Values for Automatic Creation of Customers

Step 5 - Ensure your company code is added here

RECACUST--> Flexible Real Estate Management-->Business Partner--> Relevant Settings for Business Partner in RE Context-->Business Partner - Customer -->

Standard Values for Autom. Creation of Customers (Company-Code-Dependent)

Step 6 - This may already be done, but to be on safer side, just ensure below configuration also exist in your system.

A) SPRO--> Cross Application Components--> Master data Synchronization-->Customer/Vendor Integration -->Business Partner Settings -->Settings for Customer Integration--> Set BP Role Category for Direction BP to Customer

B) SPRO--> Cross Application Components--> Master data Synchronization-->Customer/Vendor Integration -->Business Partner Settings -->Settings for Customer Integration--> Field Assignment for Customer Integration-->Assign Keys -->Define number assignment for direction BP to Customer
