Where is the DTW Goods receipt bin location information template

Dear All,

I can't seem to find the DTW Goods receipt bin location information template file any where under

C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\Inventory\Inventory Transactions\Goods Receipt

The discussions I already went through are:

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3351837 how to import bin locations with items in sap 9.0 through DTW

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3418168 How to upload Default Bin Location to Item Master in V9 PL05

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3351952 StockTaking object with Bin Allocations in v9

https://scn.sap.com/thread/3455563 Import stocktaking with batch and bin location info SAP B1 9.0

https://scn.sap.com/thread/3482538 import Goods Receipt with bin location

But I can't seem to get the information I need. Can anybody please let me know where I can find them?

Thanks in advance!

I tried something by myself.

When I open DTW, I see this. So I assume we should have a template for DocumentLinesBinAllocations. But I can't find it anywhere.

Then I tried to build it by myself. When I try to see what fields we should have in the template, I see this. It doesn't look like a bin allocation template.

Then I did some other tests. I manually created a Goods receipt and allocate bins to it. I want to see the table for bin allocation.

Then I found IGN19 named Goods Receipt - Bin Allocation Data

However, I don't have any data in that table.

Hi Jie,

The Bin template is not added by SAP during installation as of PL08. I have created below template and used in several projects :

Header :

RecordKeyDocTypeDocDateDocDueDateCommentsJournalMemo
RecordKeyDocTypeDocDateDocDueDateCommentsJournalMemo
1dDocument_Items2013101520131015TestTest

Line Items :

RecordKeyLineNumItemCodeQuantityPriceWarehouseCode
RecordKeyLineNumItemCodeQuantityPriceWarehouseCode
10A000110801

Bin Allocations :

RecordKeyLineNumBinAbsEntryQuantityBaseLineNumber
RecordKeyLineNumBinAbsEntryQuantityBaseLineNumber
1010100

Please note that BinAbsEntry is AbsEntry of Bin Location ID from OBIN table

BaseLineNumber represents LineNum from Lines Template. See attached DTW files selection

I hope this helps

Hello Praneeth

Forgive my ignorance, but how have you managed to add the Bin template you have created yourself into Goods Receipt Templates structure? I am try to guess it but I am clueless.

Thanks in advance and regards

Hi Javier,

I added few transactions manually and went through fields in the database and prepared the template. Please note that, Bin Allocations are similar to batch number allocation so i used Batch Number Template as a starting point.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Praneeth. Then I got an error Fully allocate item XXX to bin location in warehouse XXX.

I am allocate the full qty to 1 bin location. I did some research and there is a SAP NOTE to say this is a bug. But I am on PL8. It should get resolved already.
