Hi experts,
yet another problem since our upgrade to B1 9.0 PL7. Our users can't search for "only active items" anymore.
With our old 8.82 system it was possible to search for items with an asterisk and select if they only want to get active items or not.
With Business One 9.0 this search always returns all items. No mather if I select active or inactive, these radio buttons seem to have no function in searches anymore. Anyone else having this issue? What's the reason?
What confuses me even more is this SAP Note from 2012 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1789788)
But it was and is definitely possible in our old 8.82 system. I've just tested it.
I've already figured out the workaround myself, but as always this will need time and effort to inform and explain our users why this has changed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
But one strange thing remains, why was this issue already documented in 2012

Hi,
1. Yes your statement is correct. Also same result in 8.81 PL10.
2. The above SAP note should be only valid for 9.0 version not for lower versions. Further they stated that, "Currently supported SAP B1" means, I think 8.8, 8.81 there is no support from SAP due to end of maintenance stream.
Note :
For 8.82 PL 11 End of maintenance 30 Jun. 2015
For 8.81 PL04 End of maintenance 29 Feb. 2012
For 8.8 PL 10 End of maintenance 30 Apr. 2011
Thanks & Regards,
Nagarajan

Thanks for your answer Nagarajan.
However for Business Partners the search on active and inactive BPs still works!? And as far as I can tell the inactive and active functions are realized the same way as on Item Master Data.
I just want to understand the reason why it's no longer working to have a good explanation for our users and why they have to do more clicks now. I already know what questions they're going to ask...
