I have the standard MRP configuration, I want it to automatically generate the purchase requisitions & the planned orders for SFG and FG (Tcode: md02)

However, it only generates the Material requirements for the chosen material. Help plzzz

Hi Raj

This is a very generic question but I'll try to help you.

1 - Make sure that you are using a proper MRP type (PD is a good example).

2 - Define a lot sizing procedure. The most common in EX.

3 - On MD04, check if the available quantity is negative.

4 - The, run MRP on MD02 and check the results.

Hi Raj

Thanks for the feedback.

Since you are starting in this area, the following WIKI may be useful:

MRP General Issues - ERP Manufacturing (PP) - SCN Wiki

I'm still building it but it is basically a reference guide to useful documents and notes for the most frequent issues in MRP.

Hi Raj,

  1. For the materials for which planning is required maintain the MRP type as PD
  2. Maintain the demand PIR for the FERT material
  3. MRP need to be ssheduled in background in MDBT tcode. Periodicity also you can mention.Based on that MRP will run and generate the procurement proposals.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

MRP will not happen automatically...you need to run it manually or through a background job periodically...If you want all the materials to be planned, then run MRP at plant level..T-Code MD01....

you need to have proper MRP type and lot size defined in the MRP1 view in material master as suggested by Caetano....

If you want MRP run execution automatically, then create it as background job... then schedule it periodically like daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly as per the requirement...

Thanks
