sample size & sampling scheme in different unit of measures

Gurus,

I have a requirement where finished products are with base unit of measure Car.

goods receipt from process order is done withe the base unit of measure Car

sampling scheme is maintained with respect to the base unit of measure Car.

but result recording should be done with respect to alternative unit of measure "pills"

i,e product X base unit of measure Car , 1 car =1000 pills    

product Y base unit of measure Car , 1 car =1500 pills

if goods receipt is done for 1000 car a sample size from sampling scheme will be determined as 2 car

but in result recording for product X i should have a sample size as (2 car*1000 pill) = 2000 pills

& product Y , i should have a sample size as (2 car * 1500 pill) = 3000 pills

how to maintain that requirement??

Hello reem,

Go to inspection characteristics screen in QP02 Transaction code.. There select Sample unit of measure as pills..and enter 1000 or 1500 in Base quantity of sample.

Base qty of sample Field length is 5 with decimal place as 2. So you will have to consult your ABAP consultant about changing its decimal place.

Dear Amol,

I performed as instructed but with different data to test the idea itself

I made the quantity equal to 100 pills (product X)& 150 pills (product Y)

while entering results I got the following in MIC details (class recording )of result recording :

Inspect 1 * 100 coil

but when I enter in the classed recording of the MIC 10 pills as the class size I get the folliwng message "

The absolute frequency in class 1 is greater than inspection scope

Message no. QE410,

so , kindly advise

Hello Reem,

I did not use it with Class Characteristic.

Can you share screen shots of results Screen, may be other Experts can help.
