Conversion type missing or invalid in InfoCube transformation

Hi

After creating Info-cube when I creating transformation and map the fields the 5 KFs(i.e. ZUCOST1 to ZUCOST5) giving following errors:

Rule (target field: ZUCOST1 group: 01 Standard Group): Conversion type missing or invalid

Rule (target field: ZUCOST1): Field UNITCOST1 must be assigned to an InfoObject

:::                                                                                               ::::

Rule (target field: ZUCOST5 group: 01 Standard Group): Conversion type missing or invalid

Rule (target field: ZUCOST5): Field UNITCOST1 must be assigned to an InfoObject

5 KF's(i.e. ZUCOST1 to ZUCOST5) are already defined in InfoObject's InfoArea.

How to remove these errors?

Hi,

This issue occurs because of wrong conversion types at transformation levels.

check ZUCOST1 - have fixed currency/units. if yes then at transformations, use no conversion type at rule details. like that way do for other key figures also.

if you key fig defined with 0currency/0units then need to map units/currencies to your target info objects at transformations level.

Thanks a lot I have fixed currency. Your solution resolved the errors.

One more thing not related to this is that

these ZUCOST1-5 are unit costs of there ZPART1-5 but in the "List output" of my InfoCube all 5 columns of ZPART1-5 are shown in the location where I need them but all 5 columns of ZUCOST1-5 are shown at the end of sheet.

I need the "List output" of my InfoCube is some thing like this:

|ZPART1|ZUCOST1|ZPART2|ZUCOST2|ZPART3|ZUCOST3|ZPART4|ZUCOST4|ZPART5|ZUCOST5|

Is it possible here or leave it and arrange them in reporting?

Hi,

Just to see output as you need then you can change info coube display layout.

But same thing need not be possible at bex level. because you may be added info objects into different dimensions. so its may not be possible.

ZUCOST1 - is key fig(stored amount/qunaty with units/currencies) and ZPART1 --what kind of info object is this?

Try to see the present report out and check how it look like.

Hi

ZPART1 is char. i.e Name of the Part

ZUCOST1 is KF i.e. Cost of the Part

currently layout is

ZPART1|ZPART2|ZPART3|ZPART4|ZPART5|.......................|ZUCOST1|ZUCOST2|ZUCOST3|ZUCOST4|ZUCOST5
|

I need the "List output" of my InfoCube is some thing like this:

|ZPART1|ZUCOST1|ZPART2|ZUCOST2|ZPART3|ZUCOST3|ZPART4|ZUCOST4|ZPART5|ZUCOST5|

At cube level, we can manage thru change layout option as temporary.

at bex level its not possible. because we keep chars into rows and kfs into columns.

So not possible to keep them each side by side.

Hi Imran,

If I am not wrong, UNITCOST1 field is reference Unit field for all of your key figures and you are not mapping it to any unit field from the source in the transformation.

Please check if this is the case.
