mssql 2008 r2 installation failed -2068119551

Hello all,

I need your help. I want to install a default MS SQL Instance and then to install the Netweaver.

I stopped at installing SQL Server

I used package : 51044827 and 51039339 and both are giving the same error.

UAC is disabled.

Pls help

the solution was: add full right to the folder where mssql was installed

Hello Chris,

Stop the installation and try rebooting the server once and re-start the installation.

Hi Chris

1. Have you disable the windows firewall settings?

2. Have you apply the latest patches for windows OS from Microsoft Site by using Windows update?

3. Kindly refer the SAP Notes

1152240 - Setting Up Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (R2)

1144459 - SAP Installation Media and SQL4SAP for SQL Server 2008 (R2)

1733195 - Microsoft SQL Server version and download list

4. Kindly check one more time UAC as mention in the SAP Note

1956224 - SQL4SAP - The unattended installation fails

Hi Chris,

What version of SQL Server are you installing?  The error log says:

2014-02-10 15:46:11 Slp: Condition "Is the user's scenario set to EditionUpgrade" did not pass as it returned false and true was expected."

And I assume that have admin rights on this machine?
