Probable issues in OLA -ME31K

The production users are creating OLA’s where the header has a defined validity end date – usually 1 year, but they are creating line item validity dates ending in 12/31/9999. How can a line item validity date exceed the overall header date and be valid? Could you help me to determine if there are any issues besides reporting with this method?

Tanmoy

Hi,

Normally system will allow to create the OLA for a validity date and allows to enter the item conditions for a day other than the date of the validity . how ever a warning mesage .

While creating the PO system will issue a waring saying the validity date of the OLA is crossed but is just only a warning message .
As being a referencing document ,  sap would have been given this facility . However you can plan for a error message.
