Web dynpro abap or other web based solutions

Hi everybody

I was just wondering now if SAP is keeping Web Dynpro ABAP as a strategic product or should we now start looking at different Web UI type of technology.

Sap PI now only becomes available in the JAVA stack (PI no longer Dual stack) and using PI to obtain web services seems to be the way forward --especially for B2B. (Business to Business).

A lot of the widgets etc in Web Dynpro are looking a little bit staid / old fashioned now whereas the whole range of Web UI is available using web services.

Technology moves on forward -- Web dynpro great at the time but has it passed it's "Sell by date". just interested to hear other people's thoughts on this.

For small stand alone machines web dynpro might still be Ok but there seem so many other better (and easier) ways to use web services now (even from SAP -- especially if using features like PI (XI) for integration servers,.

    Hi Jim,

SAP has developed UI technologies like Web Dynpro & FPM was developed on the stack of Web Dynpro.

Next SAP has developed UI5, for this people should have knowledge on Java or HTML etc.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sankar Gelivi
