UI5 Landing Page

Hi experts,

As per SAP it is possible to deploy the UI5 interface in NW731, But proper documentation is nowhere available in Google or marketplace.

Please share if you guys had any handy documentation available.

Hi Sudhanshu,

We have deployed the UI5-based HR Professionals landing page, which comes with HR Renewals.

Simply in transaction PFCG we added a Web Address node to our menu, and set the URL as ...

/SAP/BC/UI5_UI5/SAP/HRPAO_LPB_JS/MAIN.HTML?page=PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL&sap-theme=sap_corbu

Dear John,

Well, even i have gone through with this, but all i need is how to bring up these UI screen to Netweaver Portal not NWBC, As the suggested change by you will itself wont bring the screens to Portal.We need to attach the PFCG role to an iview.

How to assign the PFCG role to iview. Please suggest.

You can create a SAPUI5 iview in the portal. Here is some more info:

Hi Simon,

Thanks a million for that pretty impressive link, But as defined in the documentation the system alias need to be specified.

So my question is, do we need to specify the system alias that we used at configuring the ODATA services or one of the system aliases that we specified for LANES. Please suggest.

Hi Vinay,

Firstly, since you are not using NWBC you might consider re-posting this question in the Portal discussion area, rather than the NWBC one.

Anyway I haven't set this up in Portal myself, but I did stumble across this link

Configuration: ESS (SAPUI5) in SAP NetWeaver Portal - Employee Self-Service (SAPUI5) - SAP Library

You will notice it also references an OSS Note 1864001: Resolving of System Alias for Launchpad Service.

Perhaps that may help you.
