Hi Thiru,
You may follow below approach.
1) Migrate R/3 40B 32-bit to Windows 2003 64-bit Oracle 9.2 64-bit
2) Upgrade oracle database to 10.2 64-bit
3) Upgrade 40B to ECC 6.0 EHP5 on Windows 2003 & Oracle 10.2 64-bit
4) Install ECC 6.0 EHP5 on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit with Oracle 11.2.
5) Perform OSDB Migration from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2
6) Perform Post migration activities.
Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak-san,
Thank you for yor response.
Observed that in PAM,
For SAP 4.0B, Windows 2003 64 bit version is not available and Oracle 9.2 is the Maximum supported version for SAP 4.0B
I am not sure, I have checked the PAM correctly or not.
Could you please confirm the step1 to step3 ?.
Please suggest, provide if any other right strategy?
Thanks
Thiru
Hi Thiru,
Please refer SAP note 960769 - Windows: Migration from 32-bit to 64-bit (x86_64)
Oracle:
=====================================
On Windows Server 2003 X86_64 (64-bit), you may only use Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2) software for X86_64 (64-bit) as a database. Note 949116 describes the installation (homogenous system copy) of old products that were not originally released on Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2). If you want to make the copy using the backup/restore procedure, for which the source database was not yet upgraded to Oracle 10.2, see Note 932722.
The following table indicates the special features of the migration to 64-bit (SAP system specifications relate to the kernel release).
Source system | Target 64-bit system | Support remarks |
---|---|---|
3.1I | 3.1I 32-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | only for upgrade* |
4.0B | 4.0B 32-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | only for upgrade* |
4.5B | 4.5B 32-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | only for upgrade* |
4.6B | 4.6D 32-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | only for upgrade* |
4.6C | 4.6D 32-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | productive** |
620 | 640 64-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | productive*** |
640 | 640 64-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | productive |
700 | 700 64-bit, Oracle 10g 64-bit | productive**** |
Additionally refer below SAP notes which shall help in upgrade procedure
906205 - Upgrading SAP systems <=4.6 on x86_64 on Oracle Windows
932722 - Upgrade to Oracle 10.2 during a database copy
985341 - Oracle 10g Support on Windows for 3.1I based SAP Systems
Hope this helps.
