external product configurator within a CRM-ERP LORD2 scenario?

Is it possible to use an external product configurator within a CRM-ERP LORD2 scenario?

My customer has a running webshop with an own configuration UI (java based) which is connected through badis with the ECC.

And now we implemented in SAP CRM the ERP Quotation.

Instead of rebuilding the varionatfunctions ord attributes seting the customer thinks about to intgrate the existing "konfigurator" of his web shop.

Is there anyone who knows the interface

  • Basic Functions -> Product Configuration -> Settings for External Configurators.

more detailed.

Where can I find an Interface declaration?

Is the planned approached in general a valid way (from your point of view).

thanks,

Dirk

Hello Dirk,

Hope you are doing good!

Hoping that you have got the implementation details for integrating an external configurator. So I am trying to get the below details if you have sometime to answer.

We also need to integrate an external configurator with SAP CRM.  The process flow is something like this:

i) User will create a quote in SAP.

ii) Whenever the user adds a configurable product, the external configurator (java based, can be called as http URL) needs to be called.

iii) Once the configuration is made using external configurator, and user presses OK then the configured product data needs to be sent to SAP and the product needs to be added as a line items to quote.

iv) The pricing of the configured product needs to be done in SAP using IPC.

Could you/someone please let me know how above integration could be achieved and how to setup the external configurator and what BAPI's should be called to transfer configured product data to CRM?

Thanks,

Vikrant
