different languages

Hi All, I have a requirement. For multinational companies there is a need to use several languages.

If data are uploaded in one country both in local and english languages, can participants in other countries see data in their own language or at least in english and avoid language of the first country? Thnaks a lot!😊

    Hi Olga,

Check with your basis guys as they can install language packs for users to see data in own language when they login with their country's logon language.

    Regards

    KIM

    Hi Olga,

Most of the time, you see text fields in logon language. For example, if you logon in Russian, then document type texts (table T003T, visible e.g. in trans. FB01) will be in Russian. If nobody maintained them in Russian then you will see blank texts (or nonsense if the given document type was copied from one that was pre-delivered from SAP).

Sometimes, you have the choice of choosing the output language in master data (vendors, customers) or in the transaction itself (I believe some financial statements work this way). In other cases, there is just one text for all, regardless of logon language (e.g., line item text BSEG-SGTXT in FI or payment type description in trans. FBZP).

So, overall, what language users see texts in depends mainly on their logon language. If they always logon in English then they will see English-language texts as long as the table is language-dependent.

Did it answer your question? Good luck!

    Dear Kim,

Interface is multination, but uploaded data appears only in one language. For example, in Ukraine we can see both, but in Turkey they see only Ukrainian data. That is a problem.
