How to change system time zone from UTC to customer specific time zone?

Former Member

One of our customer asked to change system time zone from UTC to CST.

I have changed the time zone using the transaction STZAC in all clients and restarted the system.

If you see below screenshot system time zone still showing UTC. So all the job logs are showing system time zone only.

Customer want to change everything CST.

Please help me here to resolve the issue.

Hi Anand,

To change system time zone, we need to maintain in SAP Table TTZCU via SM30 transaction code like maintain tools.

Please follow as below:

1. Login to system and go to the transaction SM30.

2. Enter Table Name TTZCU and press maintain.

3. Here you can maintain System Time Zone and Default Time Zone.

4. To select a time zone press F4 help and select your time zone,

5. Save your changes and check after restarting SAP R/3 via System & check status again.

Follow scn link

Also check your OS date & time settings as well.

Thanks,

Gaurav

Thanks for your reply.

I changed the time zone in the table TTZCU also i cross checked in the transaction /nSTZAC.

Job logs time stamp are showing UTC time stamp only.

We have to change time stamp in server level also becoz that is SAP standard, I am not we can change or not.

If customer want to see all the time stamp to CST for their view, any other solution is there with out changing server time stamp?

Hi,

Most sap transaction use OS time zone some use sap system time.
OS and sap system time should be the same including timezone

Run transaction /nSTZAC the system time zone is client independent
user default time zone is client dependent.

User time should also have the same UTC time setting as OS and sap
system timezone.

according to SAP Note #741734:

"(...) all systems should use the same time zone. That is,
both the R/3 system and the operating system should use the same system
time zone and the same daylight saving time rule."

Regards,
